Bondi is Australia’s world famous beach and is home to large communities of New Zealanders, Israelis, Brazilians, Eastern Europeans and South Africans, but somehow the photoshoot ended up being a lot less multicultural than I thought it would be. Maybe all the Brazilian and Israeli backpackers were still sleeping when we hit the ground early one Saturday morning. About half the people ended up being British or Irish tourists with the rest being Australians, New Zealanders, South Africans, Canadians, Filipinos, Argentinos and one woman from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The end result is a handsome man and a beautiful woman – we were after all positioned in North Bondi, which is renowned for attracting Sydney’s beautiful people! The result is also very Anglo-Saxon – quite similar to London but with blue eyes rather than grey, which could be due to the weather – the shoot in Sydney was in mid summer while the one in London was in mid winter.
